Are we being conditioned to strive for our personal best? or for a collective best that is not reflective of the inner god/dess inside us all. I know personally, for me, I am on a journey of inner truth and desire. If our society shapes us, as a collective even in some small way, where is this leading us as a brother/sister society?

At times, I feel this deep connection to everything, an expansion of my own position of where I fit in the world. However at other times, I feel this deep sense of disconnection and isolation. Now I know that this is all apart of a process of consciousness, however that does not mean that I don’t have opinions and feelings in regard, to the shifts of energy currently going on around me and in the world at large.

I struggle to understand why advertising and marketing are limited to a demographic of youth, wealth, beauty and security. I no longer subscribe to the notion, that a cream is going to give me the skin of a 20-year-old, or that If I buy the latest portable exercise device, that I will have six-pack abs portrayed in the well oiled models in well-lit studios. To me this is a manipulation and misconstrue of the human identity.However this does confuse me at times, and I do fall into that trap when I am not being my authentic self. I am human, after all.

Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with looking and feeling fabulous. A healthy balance of ego and self, to me is the true path to living a full life. I like to try new things, and I like to explore myself in so many different ways. Generally speaking children like playing dress up. Boys in super hero or cowboy outfits from the 80′s and girls in fairy costumes and the like. So why has something of harmless expression that we all had within us since kids, become an unhealthy unattainable ideal?

These are all thoughts, questions and ideas that I ask you to answer for yourselves. There really is no right or wrong, just what resonates with you. So as a first blog, I feel I have explored enough thoughts to provoke something inside us all.
